Homemade cleansing creams

Cleansing creams are used not only to lift the dust, but also to remove stale make-up dirt and bacteria all collect on your skin and must be removed completely. Make-up has a waxy base which cannot be properly penetrated and cleansed simply by using soap and water. A cleansing cream or lotion is essential for this.

Cleanser should be applied with an upward movement and kept on the skin for about half a minute, so that it could dissolve the make-up. Then remove with a tissue or damp cotton wool. Remember, stale make-up and the day's dirt and grime not only clog the pores of the skin causing blackheads, but also eventually coarsen the skin.

The first step in make-up is cleansing. Soap and water removes most of 'the impurities but it does not remove make-up completely, hence cleansing is required. Foundations and powders are designedto remain on the skin as long as possible. If you wear make-up during the day, tbe first step in cleansingyour skin at night should be with a cleanser of some kind cleansing cream, lotion, milk or just plain cold cream. The cleanser must be massaged into the skin with a light upward and outward movement, paying particular attention to the creases of the nose, under chin area, neck and ear lobes.

Cleansing is the first essential step in your daily skin care routine. Cleansing the face 4-5 times a day,is adequate for normal skin. If your skin is oily a more frequent cleansing i.e. 5-7 times a day is necessary. If your skin is dry it is best to avoid frequent washing and you may have to use a suitable oil-based cosmetic cleanser instead of soap, which has a dry effect. There are several alternatives to soap and water cleansing. All are, a mixture of oil, wax and water  which have been formulated to suit different skin types. The skin should not be stretched, dragged or pulled. Leave the cleanser on for a minute or two so as to loosen the dirt and make up.

Cleansing skin care is perhaps one of the most important things we can do to help keep our skin looking healthy and beautiful. Cleansing and moisturizing skin will remove old make-up and the grime and grease that have been accumulated during the day. Cleansing is particularly important for people with oily skin, who have excess oil on their face which attracts dirt and debris.
